Emerging Color Stamping Technique

Ok, I'll admit it...I really love stamping and the more I stamp the more I want to stamp. It's a wonderfully vicious circle. Emerging Color is one of those techniques that have some very basic and constant elements to it, but the creative license is all yours in how you present it. I'm sure if you Google or YouTube you will find a ton of tutorials and a lot of them will be very similar. Emerging Color boils down to this one word: resist. This is at its very core a resist technique. The whole trick to doing this is to remember that you will work in layers.

Welcome to Swirlydoos July Kit Reveal Blog Hop!!!

Welcome!!!  I'm guessing that you are on an inspiration high right now.  I know I certainly was everytime the design team uploaded a new project!!  WOWZERS!!

If you came here from Gabi P's blog, then you are not only blown away, but you are also on the right track.  If not, go back to Swirlydoos' blog and start from there.

This month's kit was really just over flowing with a TON of stuff.  I remember telling the DT that I was just overwhelmed with it and stared at it for the longest time wondering where I should start.  True story!

I used a little bit of everything on this page as well as some Martha Stewart clay that came in this month's Technique/Project kit.  Oh what fun I had!!  That clay rocks.  It is super light and so easy to work with.  I created the two big flowers you see using the clay.  I painted on some of Lindy's Stamp Gang Alpine Rose Mica and then added some gesso and diamond dust.  They are just so soft and yummy!!!  I used tiny paper roses for the very center.

I created this page for our SwirlyHues challenge that will be unveiling next week.  Our SwirlyHues challenges are open to ANYONE!!!  You don't have to be a subscriber to play along.  Check out our blog next week and join us!!

As I mentioned earlier, this kit had just a ton of stuff in it.  On this page I used one of the stamps, a tassel, the chipboard leaves, the pearl centers, the crocheted doilies, flowers and of course the paper.

I created this page for the sketch that came with the kit.  The photo corners were created using this month's Technique/Project kit.  Aren't they cute!!!

The leaves on this page I created using the Martha Stewart clay from the Technique/Project kit and a mold.

This is a card I made for a co-worker whose last day was earlier this week.

I hope I've inspired you in some small way.  It would totally make my day if I did.  :)

Thank you so very much for stopping by!!!  XOXOXO, Lisa

You have until midnight, eastern time, on Monday, July 9th to complete the hop. Winners will be announced on the Swirlydoos Blog on July 10th.  In order to qualify to win here is what you need to do:

1: Visit all of the blogs and leave a comment on each. This way we know you were there. Become a follower if you're not already. Take your time. There are REALLY beautiful things to see along the way.

Once you have visited all the blogs and collected all the special words, they will create a QUESTION.
