Emerging Color Stamping Technique

Ok, I'll admit it...I really love stamping and the more I stamp the more I want to stamp. It's a wonderfully vicious circle. Emerging Color is one of those techniques that have some very basic and constant elements to it, but the creative license is all yours in how you present it. I'm sure if you Google or YouTube you will find a ton of tutorials and a lot of them will be very similar. Emerging Color boils down to this one word: resist. This is at its very core a resist technique. The whole trick to doing this is to remember that you will work in layers.

Welcome to Swirlydoos August Kit Reveal Blog Hop!

Thanks for stopping by today!!

If you came here from Lynne's blog then you are on the right track.  If not, head back to Swirlydoos and start from there!

Today we are revealing our Swirlydoos August kit. This kit is super versatile.  I was able to pull off 3 different looks for my projects.
Love when I can do that. :)

LOOOOVE the picture frames that came in the main kit.  There was also some stamps in one of the add ons and I used them to create a border around my paper.  The embellishment add on included some Lindy's Stamp Gang two-toned embossing powder.  I decided to emboss two of my stamped images.  It's too bad that you can't really see the finished embossed piece because it is a gorgeous black-ruby color.  Yum!

I used some of the kit paper to create my own flower and then embellished it with flowers from the main kit as well as the flower add on.

This page was created for the sketch that came with the kit.  I had fun with it.  I used some of my favorite molding paste.  I misted it in two colors and then when it dried I added some white puffy paint and a hot pink gelato crayon to finish it off. :)

I took a page out of Heidi Kelley's play book and skewed my title around my page.  I love it when she does that!!  The Maya Road Alphas are available this month too!!

Thanks so much for stopping by!!  I appreciate your support.

Hugs,
Lisa

Wow! You're so right - an amazing kit, and the projects you've created are completely stunning! The flowers and butterflies on the first are fantastic with that distressed text, and I'm in love with your tumbled letters in the last one. Brilliant!
