These are my first projects for the Petaloo Design Team and how lucky am I that just as I came on board Petaloo was pairing up with May Arts to do a blog hop! *insert angels singing* Think about it....how much better does it get when you have flowers in one hand and ribbons & lace in another? On the flip-side, do you know how hard it was to pick just a few ribbons to go with a few flowers? It was just cruel! LOL So many choices and so little time! As soon as I saw the lace I knew that I needed to have it on this page. I love lace and can't get enough of it! I really love the way the lace softens up my page and adds a nice girlie touch to my photo.
I used one of my paper punches that adds slots for lacing ribbon. I love how the brown ribbon plays off of the blue. Isn't that green dragonfly Glitter Critter a hoot! He is soooo cute.
I love, love Petaloo's Color Me Crazy flowers. I took two of the flowers and used Smooch Spray to give them a pale lilac color. Then I took darker purple Smooch and edged the petals and tips of the petals for a nice contrast. The green, jeweled Estate Collection flower is really a perfect compliment to my other flowers. Combined, they pull the purple and green colors from my photo. I tied it all together with this beautiful, big blue bow.
I had a lot of fun with this page. I used Donna Salazar's Antiquities line for the paper because it just goes so well with my photo. May Arts sent this awesome, brown textured ribbon and I knew that I had to use it. I covered one of the mats I have behind my photo I just love how it brings such an earthy feel to the page.
In keeping with the natural feel, I chose these Petaloo Chantilly flowers and the Color Me Crazy Wild Spray. It feels so fresh when I look at it.
I once again used the lace we received and added it to the bottom of my frame to soften it up just a bit. Doesn't it look cute with my ribbon buckle?
