Emerging Color Stamping Technique

Ok, I'll admit it...I really love stamping and the more I stamp the more I want to stamp. It's a wonderfully vicious circle. Emerging Color is one of those techniques that have some very basic and constant elements to it, but the creative license is all yours in how you present it. I'm sure if you Google or YouTube you will find a ton of tutorials and a lot of them will be very similar. Emerging Color boils down to this one word: resist. This is at its very core a resist technique. The whole trick to doing this is to remember that you will work in layers.

So Chic!!

Swirlydoos' May kit is really amazing.  So much stuff!  The best part?  You can can get different looking projects every time!  So many different colors and accessories.  Krissy really kicked.....well, you know. :)

I created this page for our Round Robin challenge this month.  Love this challenge.  4-5 teams competing against each other and lifting the page of the team mate before you.  I was so happy to follow Peggy!  Her page was simply amazing.  She included a tag, and ATC and some molding paste (my favorite).  I lifted her design and gave it my own spin.  That is the name of the game! :)

Here I've used one of my favorite stencils and molding paste.  The best part about molding paste is that it takes color.  The end result is an integrated look to your design.

I cut a center strip of paper and using a verse stamp I stamped very lightly.  Then I tore strips of foil tape and added them in various places.  I dry embossed it, then added some white paint.

This page is based on this month's sketch that came with our kit.  I turned it on it's side.

I created the roses using flowers that came in the kit and Donna Salazar's Rose Creations Spellbinders die.  I used some grey ink that came with the kit and then added some Bundled Sage distress ink to the leaves.

I cut circles that are lop-sided (thicker on one end and thinner on the other) and then embossed them.  I dressed them up with some grommets.

This is a card I created for my niece's birthday.  I used a few things from my stash including the Petaloo Birthday Wishes Vintage Dazzlers.  I also added the Tattered Angels "B" and ornate frame.

I made this Mother's Day card using scraps of paper from the kit as well.  I also added a Petaloo Vintage Dazzler greeting.

I created these two ATCs using this month's Technique/Project kit.  It was packed full with packs of ATCs and embellishments from Creative Imaginations.

I hope everyone had a wonderful Mother's Day!!
Thanks so much for visiting me today!

XO,
Lisa
